  5. Hey, I was wondering if you use homemade cake recipes or if you do boxed cake mixes? I have never made a good homemade cake, they taste flavorless and dry, but the box mixes sometimes are so moist that they are hard to frost.

    1. I actually use a recipe that uses a cake box mix, but then I add different ingredients than what the box says :) Email me if you would like a recipe! I haven't had any trouble with a boxed cake being too moist with my recipes!

    I have recently been baking and decorating cakes for holidays and birthdays. (With no fondant, I don't think I've graduated to that level yet)
    I think its so fun! I think I'll make one for our family halloween party tomorrow
    I like to use HERSHEY'S "PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE" Chocolate Cake recipe that I found on Pinterest and it works great!
    (But you have to beat it for a long time)

  7. How do you get the roses off the toothpick to place them on the cake expecally the buter cream cause wont it still be soft? and with the fondant the middle is plastic? do you place that directly on the cake?

  8. Is there any way to make a gold frosting?? Ive been trying to incorporate gold into a 3 tier cake im making for my 10year old daughter..her colors are pink blue and gold for her party. .any suggestions?? Thanks

  9. None of the links on the website will work =( Does anyone know the recipe for the white cake frosting? It worked perfectly for the faux fondant and I desperately need it for the cake I just baked for a birthday party today but the links aren't working =(
